We are Roxie and Uno. We're sisters from the same litter, but we didn't always live together. Roxie was adopted at just 6 weeks old and went to live with Mom and Dad in February 1996. Uno stayed with her BoxerMom until she was 11 months old...her first set of "human" parents moved to Japan
'cause they're in the military. They knew that Roxie was being spoiled rotten, so they let Uno live with Roxie's Mom and Dad. Uno came to her new home on December 24, 1996....what a great Christmas that was!
Our favorite place to sleep is with our dad. He's the best!
We love each other very much. Sometimes we'll play rough, but we always "sluuurp" and make up.
Here I am getting ready to go to the beach.
Hello...this is Roxie. My most favorite thing to do in the whole wide world is to play with my floppy-disk or my little yellow ball. I could play fetch all day and all night long if Mom or Dad could keep up with me! In the summertime, I just love to go to Folsom Lake to swim - it's so much
fun! I also love to get my neck and tummy scratched....it feels GREAT.
Hi...this is Uno. My most favorite thing to do in the whole wide world is to be with my sister, Roxie. I just love her so much. I don't know what I ever did without her company. She's the best little sister. (I'm older than her by at least 2 hours!) I also love to snuggle with Mom and Dad.
Dad gives me the best tummy rubs...they always puts me to sleep. Oh, one other thing that is fun to do is to sneak in the kitchen late at night or really early in the morning and rummage through the trash...I can find some yummy stuff in there!
This is me at Bodega Bay...I fell asleep in the sand, and when I woke up, my body was GONE! I'm never going to fall asleep in the sand again!
Here we are at Folsom Lake taking the jet ski out for a spin. This was our first time on a jet ski - we sure had a lot of fun that day!!!
Christmas time is one of our most favorite times of the year. We love to guard the Christmas Tree and open up our presents all by ourselves.
This is us with our Mom and Dad posing for Christmas 2002. People say that Roxie takes after her mom and Uno takes after her dad. :o)
Here we are posing with ridiculous reindeer antlers for Christmas 2003. When will mom and dad learn that this is humiliating?! Oh, what we'll do for our humans.
This is our latest family portrait...we have a new addition! Her name is Tiana (we call her Tia) and she is the best. She was born August 2004, and we can't wait for her to start eating real food so she can share some with
us.
Christmas 2005
& 2006 - we had so much fun this year with our baby sister! We all got to open oooodles of presents.
February 23, 2007 -
Goodbye sweet Roxie girl - we miss you so very, very, very much. Tia
and I came home on Friday afternoon just in time to say goodbye to our
baby girl. Roxie died in her daddy's arms just a few minutes later.
She was having such a great day and played until the very last second.
She is now jumping and frolicking at Rainbow Bridge, waiting for us to
meet once again.
May 26, 2007 - The
ending of an era....our Uno left us to be with her sister at Rainbow
Bridge. She just couldn't stand being without her sister any longer.
:-( We were on vacation when this happened, and Uno was staying with
our vet. After losing Roxie so suddenly, we didn't want just anyone
watching Uno while we were gone, so we ensured she had the best care in
our absence. Uno started feeling bad a day after we took her to the
vet to be boarded, but after being on some meds and an IV, she started
perking up later in the week. However, by the next weekend, she was
gone. When we got home from vacation, we brought her back and buried
her next to her sister in our backyard. Roxie was buried with her
favorite toy (pink floppy disc) and Uno was buried with her favorite
buddy, Roxie. Girls - you will be in our hearts forever!!!! We
miss you sooooo much.
